I've been to other Premier Inns; generally they're great. This one isn't. It's a rebranded old travellodge I reckon, that reeked of pre ban cigarette smoke and had grim 1980s decor. Even the staff seemed depressed and dour. Breakfast is in a Harvester style pub in an adjacent building and that's about as good as the rest of the stay.... more

This hotel has been refurbished and is in excellent shape. The level of service is what I would normally expect at any 4* or 5* hotel - not one that is classified as a "budget" hotel. I stayed here for one night in February 2008. This Premier Inn is conveniently located just off the A66 and has a large pub (Preston Hall) next door. A typical industrial estate hotel, sandwiched between car dealerships with a car park open to the attention of passing vandals. It's cheap but not cheap enough to make up for the deficiencies. Rooms tired, plumbing smelly, it needs a refit. more
