8 of us ( 4 couples ) have just had a really succsessful few days playing golf on their excellent testing 18 holes that is constantly being up-graded and to be able to walk in just a few minutes from your room to the tee makes for a relaxed game. The management have over the years really tried hard to... more

Golf hotel, but equally suited to non-golfers. Pleasant and helpful reception. Standard twin room impressive – ours was on the ground floor in the new block – room 7. Large with all facilities. Good size wardrobe and storage area in entrance lobby with bathroom off – bath with good shower over. Roomy bedroom/sitting room with twin beds/dressing table/case stand at... more

Stayed here for 2 days for our anniversary. Had spent a previous 4 days at a 4 star hotel in Hrrogate. This was exce3ptionally better. The rooms were big, clean and modern. The food in hotel was of excellent quality and made it not necessary to go to Aldeburgh and push round to find a restaurant table. Really cannot fault... more

I travelled with my mother and brother, we all had separate rooms which varied slightly. My room was in a new block and was very comfortable clean and modern, the other two rooms were not quite so modern but of a very good standard, all with pleasant views of the golf course. We made use of the hotel's complimentary rowing boat on... more

We stayed in this hotel as part of a large group of people with classic cars. I had read the previous reviews and was a little worried that it would be not too good. We were pleasantly surprised. The welcome was warm and the room huge with two single beds which we pushed together. It had a nice bathroom and... more

We booked a double room with balcony, breakfast included for an overnight stay on a Saturday. Great surroundings with views out over wetlands. It is first and foremost a golf club and there were a couple of groups of guys on a golfing weekend. Not a problem, just made it a bit more lively. Checkin was first class, very friendly... more

Just returned from a 2 nights "Christmas Shopper package" at the Thorpeness Golf & Country Club. Had a twin bed room with balcony and at £58 per person per night including breakfast and evening meal this was excellent value. I was a bit dubious booking this hotel as the previous reviews were rather negative, however I was pleasantly suprised with... more

We have just had a short break at the Thorpeness Hotel and Golf Club - we were offered a very good deal for DBB and golf, we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Hotel room and facilities were good, food was above average except the yorkshire puddings with the roast beef which should never have been served! The golf we found... more
