This is a lovely barn conversion - we chose for it's proximity to Rougham where my partner was attending a conference. Perfect for that and within easy reach of Bury St Edmunds but would be a little out of the way unless you have a car. The room was charming with its old beams and an extremely comfortable king sized... more

Our stay with Rachel and Ray was easily the best accommodations on our trip. The beds were very comfortable, the room extremely clean, and they went above and beyond to provide a gluten-free breakfast for my son. Extraordinarily nice people who treated us like family. I can't say enough about them!!! more

As other reviews really, we stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoy our stay. Probably THE most comfortable bed I have ever had at a B&B. I slept like a log! The hosts have put together loads of excellent information on the local area, plenty of walks and local maps etc, even wellies you could borrow if you got... more

After several hours in flight, more waiting in line for a rental car, and yet another driving from London, the Oak Farm Barn (and its owners) were a pure delight! The accommodations were spotless, quiet, and so charming. The upstairs area was perfect for gathering with the family that made the trip and the computer provided let us check in... more

Turning onto the drive, I knew this was going to be a pleasant stay. More like a country home than a guest house. So many little touches that many places don't even think of. The cooked breakfasts were excellent, taking note of each persons' preference. The room was spotless with plenty of space, a lovely bathroom with walk-in shower and... more

We booked this B&B purely for location (it is very close to Ravenwood Hotel where my friend's wedding reception was held), without even reading the reviews beforehand. The beautiful interior and exterior were therefore a very pleasant surprise. The building is a restored barn (as the name suggests). The oak beams lend the interior an olde-worlde charm but the rooms... more

I agree with all the other reviews above and more, it was the little things like cotton wool balls, body lotions, shampoo's etc (not foretting the hot water bottle in it's soft cuddy jacket with teddy bears on it) which you will not need. A better standard than I have had in some hotels which wre more exspensive. You have 4 STAR... more

Please take the time to read this and then you can make your own judgment of the Oak Farm Barn bed and breakfast. I have just had the pleasure to stay at the Oak Farm Barn B&B in Rougham near Bury St Edmunds for 10 superb nights. On arrival I was met by owners Ray and Rachel Balmer and shown... more
