I am usually very critical of places I stay at or dine but I really could not fault The Fox in anything. We stayed in one of lesser rooms on the ground floor and even this was above standard that could be expected in this price range. The room was big, clean and quiet. All fixtures were new and bathroom... More

This was our second short break here. We stayed for 3 nights in the Hayloft suite. Fantastic is the only word to describe it. Was so nice to go back somewhere where nothing had changed, food was excellent, accommodation excellent and the staff very efficient and friendly. Have to say its a real pleasure to eat somewhere that has excellent... More

We have visited Bury St Edmunds several times, but this is our first stay at the Fox Inn, the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed in Room 3, has a spacious car park, the room (Room 3), was exceptional, with underfloor heating. It was clean, comfortable and luxurious. We're going back in August and looking forward to staying... More

We stayed in room 3 a few weeks ago and were blown away by our stay in this beautiful hotel. Everything was 100% perfect. We had the best 3 nights sleep ever on a vast bed. We were most impressed by furnishings and fittings, everything designed with practicality but oozing quality. The food was also to a high standard, reasonably... More

We spent the weekend at the Fox Inn for a birthday celebration. The accommodation was superbly appointed, clean and spacious. The restaurant was comfortable and the food was good. The breakfast was excellent and well beyond expectations. Highly recommended.

Spent the evening at the Fox Inn with family for a meal. On arrival we found it to be a lovely old pub mainly given over to the restaurant. The staff we warm and inviting making us feel welcome. Not a massive menu but certainly adequate for most and your certain to fine several dishes to choose from. Our food... More

We spent a night here on the way from Brighton to north Norfolk. It was a perfect stopover. The accommodation was first rate, very clean with plenty of room. It's just a minute or so to walk to the town centre. Bury St Edmunds was a really nice town with many independent shops and things to see.The food in the... More

For some reason, we had been upgraded (at no extra cost) to the hayloft for our 2 night stay which meant we had a spacious, well equipped room with the most comfortable bed in the world. Slightly strange assortment of windows and skylights and there isn't a view (except of the car park) but we had no complaints. The room... More

This is the second time we have visited The Fox and we all (3) enjoyed the Sunday Lunch. Service was excellent, as was the food ( 2 x beef roast and 1 x pork roast). We also felt that the overall price was very favourable. We will be back!

My partner and i came to The Fox Inn for a Sunday Roast Dinner. The restaurant was lovely and quaint despite us being the only ones there. We both ordered the roast dinner, when it arrived it did not have everything that the menu had mentioned, my partner asked where these items were which were then brought over to us.... More
