This is the sort of place you want to like and support. It's an independent microbrewery in an area dominated by Greene King. It has an interesting menu featuring local suppliers at reasonable prices. The rooms are newly refurbished and comfortable and it's a short walk from the middle of Bury. Yet they can't seem to get the service right. It took us twenty minutes to check in waiting for the only member of staff apparently on duty to serve customers at the bar, field a telephone call and then find the checking in register. The bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied. Next day, the room was not made up when we returned at 5.00 pm and when we told the staff, we were promised it would be done that evening. It wasn't. The food at breakfast was good with a fair choice of hot courses but, again, service failed to impress.
