We had a family room for 2 nights. The telephone number was passed on to us via a taxi driver from Bury St Edmunds. All the previous reviews say it all - this is an excellent bed and breakfast choice. The hosts are welcoming and considerate in finding out if they can give any extra local information. Breakfasts are a... More

We only stayed here one night but that was enough to be able to give The Old Pear Tree 5 stars. The house is lovely and full of character- like a traditional farmhouse with lots of exposed beams and fireplaces. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot choc available. Breakfast was delicious with local... More

We have stayed here a few times now and always had a great welcome, lovely clean rooms, a great location near to some wonderful walking (for East Anglia it even has hills!) and fantastic breakfasts! Will definitely be staying again in future. More

Fantastic b&b. House is amazing and easy to find. Rooms huge and spotlessly clean. We booked on short notice and had a family room with double and single bed plus twin room for our two daughters. Five minutes drive from the centre of Bury and Sat nav will take you to the front door once you have the postcode. Can't... More

My husband and I have stayed at the Old Pear Tree Bed and Breakfast and hope to return in 2011. The accommodations were excellent. We are still raving to our friends here in the States about Jenny's breakfast. We were treated like family members. I found the garden so serene. More

During our 5 week UK visit we stayed in 15 B & B's; 11 of them were good to very good , The Old Pear Tree is one of 4 that were especially memorable. The house, the location, Jenny & Peter's warm welcome & good advice and Jenny's cooking made for an experience we will recall often & always with... More

We stayed at The Old Pear Tree for one night to go to a wedding nearby. Jenny was really friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the garden beautiful. The breakfast was fantastic - including homemade bread and jams - and just what we needed after a big night! More

My partner and I stayed at the Old Pear Tree for two nights because we were attending a wedding at Ickworth Hall. We both commented that this B+B was very good value for money - Our room was huge which was very clean and was modern in its décor. The hosts were very accommodating and the service was excellent.
