Pavilion House was everything we wanted; a quiet well-run house, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Gretta and David share their home with guests and are very welcoming and accommodating. The only caveat being that one has to be out of the house between 10.30am and 4.30 pm but as we had plenty to do, that didn't matter too much. On... More

Thank you for your very kind review. We always try to accommodate guests between the hours of 10.30am and 4.30 pm, especially for those attending weddings and going to the races. Unfortunately we cannoty be here 24/7, I guess that is one of the differences between us and a hotel. More

We had a one night stay at this wonderful b & b and were lucky enough to secure their new en suite double room. It was a beautifully appointed with windows on three sides, luxuriously comfortable, spotlessly clean and sheets to die for! Gretta and David are delightful hosts

David and Great were great hosts. I had a great stay. Park and ride was very convenient and cost on 2.50 pound on the bus round trip to Cambridge. The parking was free. I also took the train from Cambridge station to King Cross Station in Central London and it was easy. Train runs almost every hour and took only... More

Gretta and David made us feel very welcome. Their home is beautiful and the bedroom and bathrrom were lovely and very homely. The breakfast was really tasty and freshly made. Definitely recommend to anyone.

As regular visitors to Newmarket for racing, we were looking for an out of town personal B&B- boy did we find it! I read a few reviews about Pavilion House and it sounded just right. We certainly were not disappointed. After a warm welcome from Gretta and David (together with gorgeous well behaved dogs, grand black cat) we were shown... More

Lovely country side setting so it is lovely and quiet. Pavilion House is outside Cambridge but handy for the Park and Ride. The owners, David and Gretta, are lovely people who are very friendly. Beautiful gardens to walk around and the pub recommendations for dinner are very good and worth taking. Fantastic breakfast which was made using fresh ingredients from Gretta's... More

What a gorgeous place to stay. Gretta and David were excellent hosts. They were friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to help us, which included letting us into our room early so we could change for a day at the races, but also giving us tips on taxis and fetching us fresh milk when we arrived back late... Personal experience, called on the day to check what time we wanted to check in. Arrived and needed to shoot straight off to the races, Getta put our bottle of wine in the fridge for us and it was chilled and waiting for us in the room when we arrived back. Bedroom comfortable and traditional, no en-suite but modern shower-room... More

We have just returned from an overnight stay at the Pavilion House which was perfectly located for our day at Newmarket Races. We can certainly echo the comments of the other guests shared here. Greta and David were indeed the perfect hosts, greeting us warmly and organising a taxi for us to get to the racecourse. Afterwards we particularly enjoyed... More
