Have been staying twice a year since 2003 and it's always a pleasure to return. Love the food and staff are great. Always have the same rooms and have only had 1 slight hiccup with a meal which was very quickly sorted. Would recommend to everyone. more

Met friends for lunch at Swynford Paddocks but the meal did not live up to the lovely setting. Service needs to be improved and despite sending an email for the attention of the manager detailing our disappointment no response has been received to date. We will not be going back. more

My husband and I came accross Swynford Paddocks after attending a friend's wedding earlier this year. We had such a fabulous time that we returned for our anniversary. Nice location - shame the weather spoiled the ambience of the beautiful grounds. Grand entrance but reception had an air of indifference which lasted throughout our stay. Sadly when we stayed there seemed to be little direction from management. There were many, many dirty unwashed glasses on the bar. Frequently there was a lack of bar staff which lead to long waits and the bar service was sloppy. We chanced upon this hotel whilst touring around East Anglia. Its rated 3* which I am becoming increasingly convinced is the highest rating. Four usually means chain and five means unfriendly.
