Have stayed here a couple of times now whilst on business trips, although this is not palatial and some of the rooms are in need of updating have rated above average because the atmosphere is very relaxed, the staff all very helpful, the breakfast is good and it represents better value when comparing with some of the larger chain hotels... more

Stayed one Monday night on Business, although the restaurant wasn't open, the bar menu was more than adequate. Very friendly and attentive staff, comfortable room, wireless internet, good breakfast, all in all a good experience and I would definately stay again. more

The Rutland Arms... What used to be the shining light of Newmarket town centre, the must-be place to stay on racing days or for weddings, has now become a shadow of its former self. The Rutland rescued us after we were badly let down by the Menzies in Cambridge. The Rutland is hotel heaven, friendly young staff who know how to treat their guests. Stayed for one night on a Christmas party weekend. We were attending party at nearby Bedford Lodge where we had syaed previously and was a little dissapointed not to be able to get in there.
