Staying at The Old Rectory, Woodbridge was the perfect way to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. We were fortunate that Mike and Sally, the hosts at the Old Rectory were able to accommodate us and all our friends within their lovely house. Roaring log fires and lots of champagne were the perfect start to the weekend. The meal on Saturday... more

Nice room, the Garden room, peaceful, away from the big family group (it was half term). But stingy with the biscuits and toiletries. A ground floor bathroom should have frosted windows not just a flimsy curtain. I didn't want to have a shower with the gardener outside thanks. Breakfast was good, lovely bread, eggs from the hens in the garden.... more

The house is huge, it's beautifully decorated and the staff are very pleasant. The bedroom was pretty, but the bathroom was very shabby, the toilietries were stingy and there were cobwebs and someone else's hair on the floor. The linen on the beds, the curtains and other soft furnishings were very good quality but the beds themselves and the pillows... more

My husband and I stayed at The Old Rectory for two nights recently. Yes it is beautiful, in a lovely setting. Very quiet and peaceful. The gardens are lovely and the downstairs of the house is comfortable and has some beautiful pieces of furniture. The breakfast was great, well cooked and served in the conservatory overlooking the garden, although the... more

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of August. 2 nights for all of us in the Oak Room and then 2 of the smaller rooms for the last night. We all had a lovely time. The grounds are fabulous - lots to explore with the children. Breakfast was scrumptious with lots of local produce. The Oak Room... more

My wife and I have just returned from staying at this wonderful B&B, it is set in a very peaceful location with large gardens. We stayed in the garden cottage which was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and some of the ingredients were organic. The hosts were friendly and efficient the place ran like clockwork which is... more

It's almost there...beautiful house, decorated superbly. Pristinely clean rooms, wonderful gardens. But...not a great welcome on arrival, pretty cold actually. Admittedly it wasn't the owner but when you are told what time to arrive I expect the owner to be there to great us. And then, as far as I am concerned the worse crime possible - an appalling, saggy... more

This delightful B&B set in beautiful grounds was a true delight. We only stayed for one night but had the most delicious dinner the night we arrived. Lovely bedroom, fantastic friendly atmosphere, definately one to return to soon and highly recommended. more

I visited the Old Rectory, Campsea Ashe near Woodbridge for only two brief nights when golfing with friends in East Anglia. What a delight it was. From the very friendly and personal welcome afforded us by Sally Ball, to the frankly luxurious accommodation (if anything, of a higher standard than you would expect or indeed feels appropriate in such a... more
