We stayed here for one night on a five day journey around part of England. We were upgraded to a 4 poster bed / suite with huge whirlpool bath. The (mid-week) package included a delightful afternoon tea, evening meal and breakfast. The leisure facilities were available for our use (lovely pool etc). Food was fantastic, the only grumble we had... more

This is one of the best hotels that we have stayed in the UK in 22 years and I can't believe that it has only a three star rating! This was our first visit and certainily will not be our last. I booked this as a surprise night away for a birthday treat for my other half after spening many... more

OK, if you are needing a place to stay near Ipswich book this Hotel. The location is great 5 mins off the a12, the hotel is really well run. Rooms are traditional, yet clean and the service is simply amazing. Eat in, try the wine and above all have the breakfast. The grounds are great. Any questions email me. more

We stayed at Seckford Hall for an anniversary treat. We found the hotel delightful and set in superb, well kept grounds. The staff were welcoming, attentive and courteous and our room comfortable and clean. The food was also very pleasing although a few more vegetarian options would have been welcome. I enjoyed a pamper day with Mary and found her... more

We stayed for only one night and couldn't fault anything other than the price! Of course we knew what we were going to pay, but you would expect a few thoughtful touches for those prices, which wouldn't cost the hotel much to provide. The hotel is an old building and has the 'creaks' which go with that, but that just... more

Stayed at the hotel for just one night. Overall impression is of a nice place to stay. However there were a few niggles that took the edge off things. Our room (no 22) was adequate but on the small side. At a hotel of this quality I would expect face cloths to be provided. Dinner was good, but again let... more

Well my husband and I thought we could do with a lovely relaxing break away so picked Seckford Hall. We booked ourselves in for a massage each and were really looking forward to it. We were welcomed with a sort of grunt but let it pass. Had a look around the grounds and saw a couple of dead animals including... more

I had my wedding at this hotel and stayed 2 nights in the Tudor room. My wedding day went without a hitch from start to finish. The food was fabulous, the staff went out of their way to help, were professional, courteous and friendly at all times. The tudor room is really lovely, the bathroom is very spacious but could... more

This is our third visit and nothing has changed, which is very refreshing these days. It is a superb Tudor house with all the olde worlde charm associated with a house of this age. It's a bit like stepping back in time, but would not feel right if it was too modern. It is rather expensive but great for an... more

A friend held their wedding reception at Seckford Hall and we stayed for two nights. Service good, staff friendly and helpful, the hotel is a lovely building and the lounge, bar etc very good. The room decor was a bit dated (though my granny would no doubt love it!) but had everything you'd need. It wasn't cheap (£180 / $360... more
