As one of the other reviewers has already said Seckford Hall has some very good points and others that let it down. The setting, even on a wet and windy day in November had something rather special and serene about it, and the welcome on arrival was friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Dairy Cottage in the courtyard (our... more

This was our third visit to Seckford and as before we were not disappointed. The bathrooms have been beautifully reburbished although I have to say there was something rather appealling in the old turquoise suites!! Our room was very comfortable and the service was attentive and professional. We have always thought the standard of food to be excellent...a good choice... more

Stayed for a couple of nights to get away from it all. Having booked a late deal, we got a reasonable discount. We may not have given it such a good review if we had paid full price. We were given a very small room , which we really didn't mind too much, with a VERY outdated bathroom - haven't... more

Stayed at Seckford on 6 previous occasions As always we were looked after to the highest standard. All the staff friendly and go that extra mile to make one feel welcome. We prefer the accommodation in the Courtyard We like to think of Seckford as a " home from home " and look forward to future visits more

I hear this hotel is going to be refurbished, lets hope its the bathrooms, and that awful pool floor area. The tiles are dirty to walk on. more

"The Dairy" = suite no.35: felt like home; downstairs lounge + full roomy (dated in style, but inkeeping with a cottage) bathroom, and kitchenette, upstairs bedroom + cloaks; tv both floors. There is a full restaurant if needed, but could self cater if want to. Light, airy, with front and back doors felt like a real home; chintzy like a... more

We stayed here for one night on a five day journey around part of England. We were upgraded to a 4 poster bed / suite with huge whirlpool bath. The (mid-week) package included a delightful afternoon tea, evening meal and breakfast. The leisure facilities were available for our use (lovely pool etc). Food was fantastic, the only grumble we had... more

This is one of the best hotels that we have stayed in the UK in 22 years and I can't believe that it has only a three star rating! This was our first visit and certainily will not be our last. I booked this as a surprise night away for a birthday treat for my other half after spening many... more

OK, if you are needing a place to stay near Ipswich book this Hotel. The location is great 5 mins off the a12, the hotel is really well run. Rooms are traditional, yet clean and the service is simply amazing. Eat in, try the wine and above all have the breakfast. The grounds are great. Any questions email me. more

We stayed at Seckford Hall for an anniversary treat. We found the hotel delightful and set in superb, well kept grounds. The staff were welcoming, attentive and courteous and our room comfortable and clean. The food was also very pleasing although a few more vegetarian options would have been welcome. I enjoyed a pamper day with Mary and found her... more
