Recently we enjoyed an afternoon at the Hurtwood Inn Hotel. What a charming inn in the centre of the small village of Peaslake! Foregoing all our previous plans, we decided to just simply enjoy the village and scenery, and have a nice lunch at the Inn. Ended up spending 3 relaxing hours with good food and good service. It was... more

I have stayed at the Hurtwood Inn on 2 seperate trips lately and each time it has been wonderful. Usually staying in souless hotels with mass produced food and the same crowds of people in the bar watching football can be a little intimidating when travelling alone as I often am on business. Staying here with the relaxed friendly atmosphere... more

Stayed here for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. The area is lovely for walking and we often have a drink here. However, staying here was a pretty depressing experience. We stayed in the room at the top, which was a lovely size, but very tired decor. The bed was chipped and wobbly, the lighting was dim, and the bathroom carpeted... more

Went to the Hurtwood Inn for a weekend break recently. The downstairs bar , restaurant and breakfast room have been recently renovated by the look of them, and were nice and clean. Ordered lunch and was told 'Chef has no chicken and pineapple skewers'. Good start. We decided to eat elsewhere in the evening as we don't like restaurants that... more

Hurtwood Inn was our last stop on a very busy trip from Scotland to England. We had travelled thousands of miles serching for the perfect Inn with great food and the Hurtwood Inn was by far the BEST! The hotel is absolutely beautiful an is located in a very rural location where you can sit and watch the world go... more

My husband and I stayed there on Saturday night (7th March 2009) and arrived there mid afternoon, the location is wonderful. The hotel has a lovely bar and we sat and had a drink and the most delicious smoked salmon sandwich. Oour room (no 16) was lovely, so clean and spacious. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was... more

Booked through Laterooms at £69 b & b, the hotel is ok if you want to be in a rural location with just a church and small village shop for miles. There is no lift and rooms on the second floor do leave you gasping for oxygen. The room was large but old-fashioned , with an old sony trinitron tv... more

Beautiful idyllic location, a long, long way from the nearest main road, it's in the tiny village of Peaslake, surrounded by woodland and meadows. This is fantastic if (like me & the girlfriend) you love nature and the countryside - several footpaths start right outside the hotel. It wouldn't be suitable if you wanted somewhere close to the motorway/ train station.... more

The hotel is in a lovely quaint location, however not much to do within walking distance. After looking at photo's on hotel website I was looking forward to our trip- however on arrival I was dissapointed to see the chalet style room which I can only compare to a 2* american motel. It was extremely dated and was in much... more

This was great! I just needed one night to stay in this exact area to avoid going unnecessarily home to London and back (long story) and this place just kind of popped up, but I really hope to go back there with my wife and spend a few nights and enjoy it properly. The hotel was very helpful by email... more
