The Asperion is a contemporary styled hotel with a strong eco-friendly focus. We stayed in the Cathedral Suite for 2 nights in June 09 with our 2 year old, at a rate of £120/night inc breakfast. The hotel has one cot available, and no high chairs; we did not see any other children whilst staying, so we expect they cater... more

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the entire team at Asperion to thank you for taking the time out to leave positive feedback. We appreciate all your comments and take on board your suggestions. If it wasn't for any feedback, we would not be able to further enhance our level of service and quality Once again,...

I walked out of one of the large hotel chains and found myself at the Asperion. The quality is down to the last inch. The staff were all warm and helpful. Everything is immaculate and the breakfasts superb. I expected huge prices for this little bijou, boutiquey type place but I shall sing the praises - a well kept secret.... more

The room was a little cramped, though clean and comfortable with a small but pleasant bathroom. The main downside was that none of the power sockets worked in the room, and despite raising this with staff, it wasn't resolved. The breakfast was really nice and the hotel quite convenient for the country wedding we were going to. Not amazed by... more

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your comments. We take great pride in our top class guest service and were naturally disappointed to know that your sockets were not working in your room. However, this was brought to the receptionist's attention upon departure which was unfortunately too late for our team to respond to. The...

I stayed at The Asperion with my mother whilst we were travelling around Europe. The Asperion left us feeling refreshed and rejuvinated after a month of sub-standard hotels. We were welcomed by happy staff and awoke every morning to a freshly cooked and tasty breakfast. The quality of the food was brilliant due to it's freshness and the service was... more

I agree with other comments that this is a nice enough hotel although I wouldn't say that it is as good as previous comments make out. I am annoyed with the misleading advert on the net regarding facilities. I recently stayed overnight and particularly wanted to watch Champions League football - only available on Sky Sports. But that was OK... more

The Asperion is located near the town centre. We chose it as the other hotels seem very far away and very expensive. As it was quiet my boyfriend and I were upgraded for free. We didnt realise breakfast was included so it was a nice surprise (breakfast is amazing by the way - all organic and fresh and just.. yummy...... more

Earlier reviews on TripAdvisor suggested that this hotel was going to be something really special (best in UK/world etc). I have to say that it isn't that special. It is good, particularly the cleanliness and the quality of the beds which were excellent. Breakfasts were good as well, although I could have done without a TV blaring out in the... more

Last weekend we stayed at the Asperion for the second time. It is small and run like a bed and breakfast but everything is just how I like it.From the extremely comfortable beds and pillows to the free organic chocolate bars and mineral water in the fridge. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff and they seem... more

I'm local to this hotel so haven't stayed there myself, but recently booked my whole family in as they were visiting Guildford for an event. There was a chorus of praise for the Asperion and they all want to stay there again! The rooms were very comfortable, attractive and spotlessly clean. Everything was done nicely, from the fresh milk for... more

The Asperion is, as you can tell if you read the other reviews here, an excellent hotel. Yes, it's small. Yes, it isn't run by a big corporation. No, the rooms aren't all the same. No, there isn't a massive restaurant turning out many covers a night. Instead you get informal, personal service that's flexible and friendly. The room wasn't... more
