I stayed at the Lockhurst Hatch (a 16th century farm) on a couple of occasions doing weekend circular walks with my wife and daughters. Going here is like stepping into the past, you could almost be in medieval England. On our first visit we came by foot, rucksacks on our backs, and our welcome was fantastic. We stayed in the... more

We had a lovely week long stay here June 2009. We stayed in the new self catering lodge in the woods. The owners were available for any questions and greeted us with a lovely cake! They were also very friendly. I had a bit of trouble adjusting to the bed (which coming from America, I found to be a bit... more

- astonishingly so for somewhere so close to London, the M25 & so on. (It's not significantly overflown by Heatrhrow or Gatwick traffic either.) Five Pines makes an excellent self-catering alternative for business people visiting this part of Surrey but wanting a break from commercial hotels, as well as being the peaceful holiday base others have described here. The only... more

If you like tranquilty in a beautiful countryside then this is the place for you! We stayed in 'Five Pines' the self catering wooden log cabin. It was clean, and very well equipped, most places i've stayed i've had to buy washing up liquid, cloths, handwash and had to bring my own towels, but not here! It had absolutely EVERYTHING... more

My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay at Lockhurst Hatch Farm last summer (unfortunately for only one night, before the return from summer holidays). The location is breathtaking, if you like the British countryside. We booked the B&B room: a comfortable and clean room ensuite, with many facilities (LCD tv, internet wireless, hairdryer...). The breakfast was great (cooked breakfast,... more

We stayed for the weekend, just my husband and I, and enjoyed the surrounding area as well as the accommodations. The chalet was spacious and comfy with nice new appliances and lovely kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom was nice and cozy with a lovely view from each window. The living area was perfect for watching movies and sipping hot cocoa... more

We stayed in one of the chalets from 16th December 2008 to 1st Jan 2009. Everything was better than 'advertised'. The environment was so quiet you'd not know there were other people on the planet (no aircraft or road noise, no other properties or people in sight). Yet, despite the apparent remoteness, there are good-sized towns such as Guildford, Woking,... more

My husband & I decided to get away for the weekend to prepare for the year & spend time enjoying the beauty that God created & Lockhurst Hatch Farm was the perfect place. The room was lovely & the bed was VERY comfy. Having our own room downstairs was great also. The log fire was perfect as it was cold!... more

If you want to get away from it all and yet not be too far from London, Lockhurst Hatch farm is a fine place to spend some time. You'll need a car and good map-reading skills because even though it's just a few miles from Guildford, it's down a dirt track which although signposted well enough, is tricky to locate... more

We spent a night at this B&B as all the hotels in the surrounding area were fully booked and we were very pleasantly surprised. I cannot fault the service or the accommodation at all and it is very reasonably priced. The owners Peter and Gill are very welcoming and friendly and Peter does a fantastic cooked breakfast! It's a nice... more
