After reading some of the reviews I was very dubious about staying here but the hotel is absolutely fine and the surroundings are beautiful. The interior is nautical in design, apparently it was a naval college at one time but so what, its just a bit different, bedrooms are comfortable and shower in bathroom is fine. Food is good, staff... more

Great location fantastic grounds and the main building is very different with it's nautical theme .The staff are very helpful and happliy assist and the free coffee bar in the main area is a nice gesture. The hotel only has Double rooms a bit of a disadvantage when you are staying witha relative although thet did sort out a put... more

We booked two rooms in the main building after reading adverse reports about the annexe buildings on Trip Advisor. One room was quite small and movement was restricted because of sloping ceilings so we requested a change. The staff were very helpful and keen to make sure we felt happy with the new room. Both rooms were clean but quite... more

My first impression of Branksome place was good, it was a lovley building set away from the road. We stayed in the main building with great views over the woodland, the rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly. I would deffently go back again, great value for money! more

The accommodation is 3 buildings, we were in Stone House which is a great character building and our room overlooked the grounds with windows on 3 sides. It was lovely to wake... more

First impressions were good, very nice Edwardian building, however on checking in we found that the room was average and also quite small and very warm. I woke in the night at around 4am needing the bathroom and was greeted by a cockroach! I dread to think how many there are in the building. After speaking to the unhelpful night... more

De vere venue- House set a beautiful location set back well away from road and beautiful grounds and that was really where it stops. The carpet could have been cleaner.Arrived and had room in Cedar Hse, which resembled Butlins! Very small room that looked nice till on further inspection the quilt was heavily stained, sheet didnt cover mattress and then we... more

Booked through Laterooms this is a strange hotel, being half a mile up a winding lane through a forest, and seemingly used primarily for conferences. Originally a sailing school and owned by the Olivetti family (typewriters) for a time, it has a sixties extension which is somewhat futuristic and looks like a naval glass roofed walkway. The bedroom I got... more
