I'm trying to give a fair review on this hotel having read all the tragic reviews prior to my stay which I expect managed my expectations (to be bad at best!) so all in all my experience didn't seem quite so bad. Having had very positive experiences at a number of DeVere hotels previously on business, I jumped at the... more

Branksome Place decided not to honour our reservation with them and they booked us into the Georgian Hotel in Haslemere. We were told that the Georgian Hotel was a 4 star place but according to the Georgian Hotel's own website the Georgian is 3 star and our Georgian room had serious defects. Reading the reviews for the Georgian we can... more

Don't think the ship theme worked, in fact it felt like a maze to get to our room, was not able to check in early! our bathroom looked like a youth hostel. We stayed at The Warbrook House the night before which was lovely, you would not think these two hotels were from the same hotel group. Really needs decorating,... more

Main hotel good. Cedar Lodge awful, tiny room, no hot water, no mirrors. Under stairs and noisy boiler humming all night so no sleep. Joined daughter in upstairs room at 2am but was woken at 6am by noisy bathroom fans. Sons wedding next day 4hrs sleep, cold shower and borrowed mirror leant agains wall to dress with, AWFUL!. Had to... more

Felt compelled to write my first review. Really surprised at some negative comments about this great hotel. Stayed here for a wedding recently and had an amazing time. Location is lovely, relaxed and quiet. Staff were helpful and cheery and the food and drink was excellent. Room was clean and beds comfy. What more could you want? My friends were... more

As you approach the hotel up the impressive long driveway, you think "Wow! what a amazing setting" you see the hotel from the front and you think "Wow! what a lovely looking hotel", BUT and its a massive BUT!! after you park your car and walk down the long pathway to the side entrance where the receiption is your thoughts... more

We stayed here for a family birthday and was not impressed! It looks so promising when you drive up and then is awful inside. The mix of oldie worldly and a bizarre nautical theme just does not work! The rooms were dusty, lights did not work and the shower cubicle was so small we all thought we would get stuck... more

What an opportunity to have developed a lovely hotel! It is a great shame that the sweeping drive and facade of the building is just that- a facade. Quite why you would want a cruiseliner inside a hotel I don't know! The rooms were very basic, with a very small double, tiny shower and cheap looking furniture. Windows were single... more

Stayed here for two nights on the special deal. Room was small but considering this deal is cheaper than booking a campsite, I would not be expecting luxury. Free internet provided, beautiful grounds. Tea and coffee and good buffet breakfast provided for £7.50. Also small fitness room for free use. You are offered an upgrade if you want so I... more
