Stayed here for 1 night - the hotel is very central, only a short walk from the train station and near to all the attractions and shopping. The room was fine, no complaints there. We situated at the side of the hotel so the window overlooked the main street. The only down side is that in the middle of the... more

My wife and I have stayed in many hotels throughout the UK during the last 20 years or so and both agree that this is one of, if not the worst, hotel we have encountered. The place was filthy including the inside of the lift of which there was only one out of the three working but the call button... more

The sole benefit of this place is it's centrality. The caters mainly for stag/hen-night types; at least that seemed to be the vast bulk of the clientele on the weekend we stayed. The staff seemed largely indifferent to the customers and the whole demure of the place suggested that they weren't in the business of ever trying for repeat custom.... more

the one word I would use to describe this hotel is filthy; it's in desparate need of a really good clean. the staff were freindly, helpful and polite but this didn't make up for the fact the the hotel was so grotty. For the £70 paid it was awful. One of the worst aspects is the restaurant on the top... more

I read all the reviews before booking so knew what i would expect but i was very pleasantly surprised. we booked it for the location and free car park and they didn't disappoint. the communal areas were all very tidy and well looked after. We paid £104 in total for room only on a saturday and sunday night. Our room... more

OK, not a 5 star place, yes the windows were like greenhouses, could do with double glazing. Dripped in condensation and mould, yes you could hear all the goings on until the early hours but for the money it wasn't bad. I had read the reviews so was prepared with earplugs - worked a treat. Great seeing the police in... more
