Great location and room size, nice and quiet and easy walk into town for bars shops etc. only criticism for me is the gym, very pokey, no windows, not what I expect for such a large hotel, 6 max then would be uncomfortable! Breakfast nice with views of the Tyne, overall a good experience. More

I travel around the country often with work (i think everyone says that before complaining) however never wrote a review.. yes the staff reception were friendly, but that doesn't make up for shabby rooms charged at premium rates and well below par food. With lloyds and others on the doorstep you would be better off, at least there would be... More

Hotel is right on the river side, with all the rooms facing the river. Although the view across to Gateshead is rather industrial, you do get a good view of the iconic bridges. One downside is that the metro bridge is close by, and if you are a light sleeper this could wake you a bit earlier that you'd like.... More

Stayed here for 1 night, for business in Newcastle. The hotel is in a great location, reasonable close to the station and overlooking the river Tyne, of which most of its rooms have a great view. Reception staff were friendly and professional, but two things seriously let the hotel down, and they relate mostly to the place being suck in... More

Used the hotel for a one night stay to go to the Metro Radio Arena and it is only a 5 - 8 minute walk to get there so it's very handy. Unfortunately, our oppinion of the hotel was mixed. This was based mostly on the 'faded' and 'past it's best' condition of the room but to be fair to... More

The room we were allocated 110 was supposed to be a twin. It smelt musty on arrival and had a settee bed as the second twin bed - Not to worry were were only there for the night and not planning to spend a large amount of time in the room - Have stayed in this hotel before - over... More

Picked this hotel because it was 5 minutes walk along the river to the Metro Radio Area. It's four star rating is well deserved. Helpful staff, clean, tidy, fab location, £5 per night for car parking was very reasonable. All together fabulous. More

Before I visited this hotel I was abit worried, as I had read many reviews on here, but I was gladly surprised to find out that it was actually a very nice hotel. Something that had worried about me was the complaints about the noise from the metro. Although we weren't in the closest room to the metro line, we... More

Spent one night last week on business. My room was somewhat dated but was of good size and had an excellent view over the River Tyne. The rooms were well equipped but equipment (the hair dryer and tea/coffee facilities) were merely functional. The bathroom was clean except for one or two places where grouting needed attention. However, the bed was... More
