Stayed here for 1 night and was really impressed with the whole experience. I have stayed in may Holiday Inns and this is probably the best so far. Room was clean and pleasant, a bit like a Holiday Inn Express if I am honest but had complimentry water, orange juice and Kit-Kats too. I had a bar meal which was... More

I bought this for my daughter's birthday it said a "spa day with massage"for two. My daughter and her boyfriend went on 26/1/2012. This is what she said..... The swimming pool was so small you can only do a little bit of swimming, the gym was old and run down and extremely small, the robes "old and smelly" the massage... More

"Beauty with Inn" operate the beauty facilities and are available on 0191 236 8504. As the manager of the hotel I do meet with the Owners and I know they will take your feedback into consideration. The next promotion will be offered as treatment with free use of the pool and gym. As you say both gyms are small however... More

The Holiday Inn chain really needs to start revferbing its hotel chain. Reception areas and breakfast areas are modern and clean, but when you enter the bedrooms its like stepping back to the 70's the furniture has seen better days and looks as it should be in a 2nd hand shop, paint marks are on the sides of furniture and... Thank you Mark for your posting. In 2011 a refurbishment programme commenced with great improvements and feedback on Reception & The Ballroom. We have also completed some work in the bar area however this will be enhanced further with work taking place in the Restaurant/Bar/Coffee Shop during 2012. In recent years we have added Executive Rooms to our bedroom choices... More

Sorry it been a while since we stayed but just getting round to catching up on our reviews. We stayed here for 3 nights last November. It was a family gathering and we were all going to the horse racing at Newcastle. There were 7 of us in all and the rooms were all spacious and comfortable. Comfortable beds and... More

I booked a "Spa Day" experience within this hotel, Firstly I would say the staff at reception were exceptional as the owner of the With INN Spa was not contactable. We had booked a groupon spa day and had arranged to have our treatments and this of course included use of the fitness facilities but there was no one to... More

So sorry to read of your experience which I am sure you were looking forward to. As the manager of the hotel, as you rightly say, this facility is not under my control although we do meet and review any issues or opportunities. Good to hear the reception team looked after you as best they could under the circumstances. The... More

Good hotel - easy access from main road with plenty of free parking. There is no lift so make sure you ask for a ground floor room if you have luggage / trouble with stairs. Would have given it 5 out of 5 but the breakfast was disappointing - went down about 9am and the hot buffet was unappealing. More

Thank you for your lovely review and sorry to hear breakfast was unappealing. With any buffet it is important to keep checking standards and as you can see from previous reviews it is normally one of our strong points. Your comments have been passed on and will be shared at the next team meeting to improve our service. Thanks again... More

We booked in mid-afternoon and were given a ground floor room as my partner is disabled and there was no lift. Our room was large, with 2 double beds and very clean. We had to go out for a few hours and returned late just as the restaurant was closing having not had chance to eat. We asked if we... More
