I had to stay at this hotel on a buisness trip for over three weeks and by the end of the first week i was fed up and ready to go but my company had booked and couldn't move me. Worse still I have to go back again. The Food is frozen and cooked for you nothing it seems is... more

I stayed in the Menzies Silverlink hotel on business for 3 nights and I will not be going back. Rooms were scruffy and unsafe. As a woman travelling on her own I do not expect windows not to lock. I moved rooms twice, transporting my luggage myself with no help from staff and in two out of the three rooms... more

This guest has been written to and I would just like to clarify that safety of our guest is paramount to our business and can confirm that the window locks were in perfect working order have personally checked these the following day, however the grub screws that hold the window restrictor had been removed by previous guest as they wished...

stayed at this hotel for two nights. For some reason was upgraded to an executive room and was very impressed. Queen sized bed and a big TV with a nice bathroom. Not impressed with the restaurant food at dinner time but the bar food is good. Ordered strawberries and cream fro dessert and even though not on the menu they... more

We booked the hotel for 1 night and at 60 pounds for b and b it was really good value, the room was clean and tidy, the breakfast was very good and was included in the price, the swimming pool and gym were fine and the staff were helpful when asked for anything. Drink prices were quite expensive The hotel... more

Stayed here for the weekend while at a conference elsewhere in the city. We had no cause for complaint - but were not overwhelmed either. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable, if rather hot (we kept the window open the whole time). There was a bath and good shower. The leisure facilities were also clean. The pool was a reasonable... more

Booked hotel as close to work visit. Took a few goes to get to it off the city dual lane carriageway. I thought it was overpriced for old jaded rooms, Pokey room, window did not shut, small TV. Basically needed to be renovated. Charged for everything and anything. Little atmosphere. Probably OK for conventions. more

This hotel could be good but falls short by missing out on lots of small issues. The food in the restaurant is overpriced and not good. The drinks are overpriced. The hotel rooms are serviced to almost satisfactory but managed to be just short, stained furniture, flaking paint in the bathroom, bed not made up properly, noisy bed, hair in... more

It was my boyfriends 21st birthday and as a present I had booked this nice looking 4star hotel. On arrival the lady on reception was very welcoming and pleasant. We were given our room number and key, yet opened the door to a twin room when we had specifically booked a double. We headed back down to Reception and explained... more

Just about OK for a 4 star hotel. Search for the best price - do not overpay. Standard room ok clean & tidy. Restuarant Menu good, wine a bit expensive, the buffet was good and well presented. Buffet breakfast good, with the quality and selection reasonable. A bit out of town and we found the hotel very 'hot' for October... more

The Menzies is quite a large hotel, with a welcoming and efficient reception team. The breakfasr was a buffet style, with a good range of food available. The room is adequate but quite basic, with all the kind of amenities you'd expect. I guess for me, the most striking memory I have of the Menzies is the 80's decoration -... more
