I always write a review as I see it. The Silverlink is not a bad hotel, just stayed 6 nights there, room was clean, fresh towels every day and room cleaned every day. I feel that the front of house staff areas were undermanned having to work bar and reception. The only bad part I would say is the quantity... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It used to be another hotel, then it was taken over by Travelodge. The rooms are quite large up to the new build Travelodges. They are clean and warm too. Huge bathrooms with a bath and an overhead shower. We stayed there on a Saturday and Sunday night. You... More

Stayed one night on 1st December. Room pre-booked in advance and was only £15.00 for the one night without breakfast. Upon arrival, check-in was quick and easy, pleasant and friendly staff. Bar & Lounge very welcoming and clean. Corridors and lifts/stairs also immaculate. I was allocated a double room on the first floor. Was again immaculate, lovely large room, clean... More

I stayed here on the last leg of a cycle tour in November. On entering reception I was suprised how palatial it all seemed, with leather type armchairs and setees around, quite impresive reception area. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. I had a meal and drink at the bar which again was well presented and comfortable. I... More

I know Travelodge are basic accommodation but they are getting more basic all the time. What an awful room, very plain and bare. Holes in the sheets which seems to be a Travelodge theme this year. Staff were excellent but very stressed. Good location on the outskirts of Newcastle. Only stayed due to low cost for the area. Won't rush... More

Cheerless arrival, cold room, poorly lit, uncomfortable bed, appalling water pressure in the shower, bar without atmosphere and staff without a smile. More

Stayed on the £12 sale mid week for 1 night. Pretty typical travelodge, tatty, basic but clean. Location is ok if you have a car and is near to tynemouth, Whitley bay and north shields. Our stay was comfortable so can't complain. More

Great staff. Great room. Awful people in room above with very loud music and even louder voices. Tried to move room but all rooms were occupied. Eventually it was quiet when they went out, but they woke us again at 3am when they came back and started their party again. Eventually the police were called to remove them. Horrible night... More

I arrived a very tired traveller to find only one stressed member of staff running from the bar/cafe to the reception sweating profusely! He was very pleasant but very stressed and said oh no we have been overbooked and there was a queue of people behind me who he kept looking at in a panicked way. He said he would... More
