We stayed at the premier inn newcastle city centre at the end of October 09. The hotel facade looks a little grim, but it seems to be quite an old municipal building block. The decor within the whole hotel is quite tired and it is well overdue a revamp. However the hotel is fantastically sited next to the laing art... more

Friendly staff who make you feel welcome on arrival. Few minor negatives for room, but generally ok. Major problem with food - very overpriced and poor. Obviously microwaved but had to wait over 30 minutes for very poor food! Would not encourage anyone to eat in - walk for a short distance to waterfront and try La Tasca instead! more

Very good hotel, very close to Newcastle city centre and the Millennium bridge, yet still quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. The rooms are clean, tidy, and come with all the general amenities you would expect (the/ coffee making facilities, TV, bath/ shower, and complimentary shower gel!). The bathroom is a bit to be desired, not the cleanest,... more

I was visiting Newcasle on business for 2 days to interview clients. I enjoyed my stay at the Premiier Inn and I stayed in a double room which was of a good size and very clean and well decorated. The location was great for the city centre and i was able to leave my car at the hotel and walk... more

Location is fine but I really disliked this hotel. We stayed here for two nights and it was incredibly busy. Some of the reception staff were helpful, some weren't. Our key card expired after one night and it was a fiasco getting that sorted out. Meanwhile the loo had no seat cover which was very unhygenic. The room was ok... more

I stayed here on business for two nights. The hotel was situated in an excellent location right in the city centre with all major attractions within walking distance. Rooms were clean and comfortable and bright and airy. Customer service was faultless at reception with the staff being more than pleasant and helpful. One fault I had was that the food... more

Can I start by saying that this hotel will be excellant for some guests...meaning for example stag parties. The location is near faultless - a simple stagger back from all the bars/clubs. For possibly most other patrons though, it has it's limitations. Firstly, the reception was compared to other Premier Inns in great need of a good clean. For goodness... more

Despite being sited several floors above a major traffic interchange in central Newcastle this hotel afforded me a restful night. The hotel is well located for the city centre, though it is blessed with immediate access to key roads it lacks immediate grounds or gardens. It is I think 8 storeys high, my room was on the 6th floor overlooking... more

Overall a good hotel, the only let down being the breakfast that i had prepaid for, for three days. The rooms were comfortable, and clean. Not too much noise from other geusts, the most noise was from the church bell up the road the rang on the hour, EVERY hour. Bathrooms were clean, although the water pressure left alot to... more

stayed one night for business, if the room wasn't so small I'd have been tempted to lash out with 5 stars but even 4 from me for a motel type place is a pretty high rating. Clean, helpful friendly staff, very central location, comfortable bed, quiet, good breakfast what more could you want, overnight parking next door at council place... more
