Just got back from a long weekend with my Stag Do Party. Hotel is in an ideal position for both the bars abd clubs of the centre, and everything down the quayside. The bar stays open late, but they foyer/bar WILL be full of large groups of Hen and Stag partys, of which we had a massive group of Welsh... more

I arrived in Newcastle early afternoon for a gig that night, and I have to say that every single person I met, from bar/restaurant,to hotel and taxi/bus were so polite, friendly and helpful. The staff in the Travelodge, next to the quayside were exceptional. The man who checked me in,a disabled man,was very helpful, advising me of things to see and do before I headed... more

I stayed here for one night with friends on a hen weekend. It is perfect for this - and if you expect to stay here and for it to be quiet - then don't! I got in from night out about 2 am and the bar downstairs was heaving - the security is pretty good as you cannot get back... more

I find these reviews very funny. If the hotel was that bad why didnt you checkout after seeing it was so bad???? Yes the corridoors are warn and a bit battered but what difference does that make to your stay?? Staff were fine, room was clean but could do with a lick of paint. Its a budget hotel so if... more

from reading these reviews I was expecting a raucous night due to all the partying going on downstairs - alas! it was very subdued and fine - friendly staff, clean room, sheets, bathroom etc and v good value - perhaps a little worn but overall, just a typical travelodge - more than serves its purpose, in a great location. more

The hotel itself has no atmosphere with sparse rooms and grotty low ceiling lighting. Corridors are long making the rooms difficult to find. Our room was very basic, seemed to be clean enough but needed some TLC. The kettle was rusted, shower leaked so badly we could not use it and the window had onions stuck to it after someone... more

Great location on quayside. Close to bars and restaurants, Baltic, Sage and a 10 minute walk from the city. Bright yellow buses go every 10 min or so to the city centre and train station. The public areas are a bit dirty, worn carpets and sticky floors etc. The room was clean, but the bed was like something else!!! As... more

I stayed here on a Brief business trip to the area. The place is foul. firstly the car park is a rip off, when there is a municipal car park just around the corner much much cheaper. The reception area is dingy a bit like an old leisure centre, the decor of the public areas would disgrace a Russian prison,... more

I was staying for 1 night arriving around midnight and leaving at 9am so I thought a central location bed and parking would be enough. welcome was warm enough. £55 a lot for it though but Central locations tend to be a bit more. Anyway I've mentoned the main plus, location, good for quayside and not bad for central destinations.... more

I have just returned from here on a 2 night work trip to Newcastle University with a colleague. Frankly I am sure the Uni accommodation would have been better! We arrived on sunday evening about 10pm. We had requested a twin room, which apparently there aren't any of and so had been allocated a family room which was ok with... more
