had a one night stay here after visiting the metro arena,hotel staff friendly ,rooms clean .would stay here again ,no problem more

I often catch Opera North's performances in Newcastle, usually staying in the city from Thursday through to Sunday. the room was bright, airy and very clean. the bed was very comfortable. cooked breakfast was small, but adequate. what we had was tastefully cooked. the proprietor was friendly and helpful. all in all a very enjoyable stay, would return myself and recommend it to others. more

I visited the hotel on a city break with a friend. My room was clean and tidy, everything worked although the shower was difficult to operate. The staff were friendly and efficient, we had an excellent breakfast freshly cooked and served quickly. The local area is not good for restaurants unless you like curry. The hotel is in a central area of Newcastle close to the General Hospital. The rooms were clean and basic. However, a bit over-priced as the shower did not work properly. Newcastle has numerous bars and clubs, and the architecture is stunning. Please be warned that it is not a romantic couples destination as the nightlife is dominated by stag/hen... more
