When you manage to find the place (not easy, even with satnav) it is worth the effort. Good value for money, very clean and well maintained. Bedrooms comfortable and adequate without any luxuries. The swimming pool and associated facilities are well up to the standard of many a four-star hotel. Breakfast was ample and generous with plenty of choice to... More

This hotel is modern, clean and ideal for business or pleasure. I went with a friend but could see it was suitable for families, couples etc. It is near to shopping centres, cinemas and tourist attractions. However, if you just want to stay in and relax, there is a large swimming pool with spa facilities, a large gym and has... More

Good web site but don't believe all you read. The hotel is average to say the least. As it seems to be the normal with these hotels.. They employ a lot of young staff, that's fine as long as they have the right training and supervision. In the villages case the seem to fall down on both points. The worst... More

Arrived and parked up for free. Hotel is on a business park and a little hard to find. It is not in the centre of town for those who do not know the area. you would need to taxi into Newcastle. Check in simple. Room very modern decor and clean and comfortable. Leisure facilities very good, pool and sauna and... More

Nice enough but very impersonal. Average review simply because I didn't take advantage of the leisure faclities. Rooms only ok, shower very weak and not hot enough (twice) in my room and a stained towel provided, luckily I was able to use the spare. Breakfast, however, was really very good. More

We were visiting Mum who lives 190 miles away from us in Whitley Bay last week, so needed a base. We got an unbelievable rate at the Village Hotel near Newcastle /Whitley Bay for just £30 per room including full English breakfast! We were warmly welcomed, and our room was spacious, warm and clean, with a fab' flat screen TV... More

The biggest advantage of the hotel is a great swimming pool and gym. Good Italian restaurant and Starbucks next to reception. On Saturday nice animation program. No meter if you are traveling with a family or as a business professional you should be satisfy. Reasonable priced, clean and tidy. More

Stayed in December. Room was good. The rest was very poor. Reception staff on the hole OK. One girl in particular rude, very rude in fact. You were made to feel a pest. Bar stall acceptable, prices steep, bar sticky, surroundings dull and not all that clean, again the staff really didn't want to be there, when you went for a... More

Grab and grub are words used by the Hotel in the promotional literature available around the hotel. There was also a poster near the lift about "grab a granny" which I did not fully understand. There was much use of the word grub, which I guess must be a "fashionable", although rather tired, reference to the food they serve. I... More
