Plus points of this hotel are that it is next to the Metro so easy access for City centre, Price was reasonable for what you got, ok if stopping for a Stag weekend, or in a emergency, but the decor was very dated, our room, a double with a single attachment, was basic 70's fitments. Some wall paper was coming... more

Horrible, horrible hotel. For mid week in the area, it was slightly more expensive than some of the others that we looked at through the booking website so we thought we would be a bit safer. We were wrong. The room we were shown was damp, dingy and old and cold - to the point where we decided straight away... more

I visited Hadrian lodge as part of 10 lads on a stag do. This is the wrong location for a stag do as you want to be around the city centre not a 10-15min train journey away. The location isnt good with no other bars insight & the hotel bar has no sky t.v. The hotel is dated but clean... more

This place is interesting... Booked this place because of the price, however it was clear when we arrived the price did reflect the state of the hotel. The place itself is easily found off the metro line, however we were slightly disappointed upon our arrival as it is not the greatest looking hotel from the outside. It's a bit shabby... more

We stayed here whilst visiting family and friends in the area. We had read the reviews so understood we were not checking into a top class hotel. The rates were really good, the staff were very friendly and our rooms were fine. It's a two star type hotel - feels like a B&B and seems to be used by workers... more

My hubby had purchased (yet another) motorbike on ebay! We decided it would make sense to have a one-night-stop-off to reduce driving time when collecting it. For a cheap B&B for this purpose the Hadrian Lodge was perfect. (Cost £40 for dbl rm for a Fri night). On first impressions, it looked shabby & dirty. It certainly is in need... more

I stayed here on business a year ago with a group of colleagues and found it to be clean and comfortable with friendly staff and a really excellent full english breakfast. It seemed like a place that was very popular with the many long distance lorry drivers parked up in the car park and spending merrily at the bar. We... more

I stayed in this hotel last weekend for one night, after reading the reviews I was a little concerned as to what we had booked. We didn't have any complaints, the beds were clean and comfortable, there was tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, you also had a power shower. We stayed in a family room which had... more

We stayed at this hotel for a hen night.. The hotel was really dated and abit out of the way. The photo of it outside of the hotel, on their site, really shows the better side of the hotel. The lodge was miles away from the town centre and costed around £15 - £20 in a taxi. Walsend to me,... more

I had to make a quick decision on where to stay in Newcastle. I read reviews about Hadrians Lodge Hotel and thought this was the place for me. The staff treated me as if I was family. The food was very good. I slept wonderfully. The Hotel was clean. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I... more
