I specifically booked a non smoking room as I'm slightly allergic to cigarette smoke (and also stale smoke stinks anyway), but despite checking it at 2.00pm there were none left so I was given a smoking room. God knows what time you have to check in to get a non-smoking. I think I've been in larger bathrooms in some hotels... more

Just returned from a last-minute romantic weekend break in Newcastle, the party capital of England. We have been several times before and always had a good time but on this occasion our choice of hotel really put a brake on our enjoyment of the city.
