I recently stayed at the Adelphi with two friends, the location was excellent and so handy being students in search of a good time. This hotel is located opposite a large student house. On the night I was staying at the Adelphi the students were having a party, no doubt one of many in the street. We were impressed with everything about The Adelphi from the friendly lady who took our booking over the phone to the man who served our gorgeous breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean and looked freshly painted and was lovely and airy. Well worth the £60 we paid and we will definitely stay again! more

The hotel is advertised as a 3-star but once you get in you realise that it is a workmans lodging house. The entrance hall is dark and unwelcoming. The small room with sloping ceilings didnt smell fresh and the bathroom was not clean. In our oppinion it is not worth £60 a night or its 3 star status. more

Very convenient for the city centre and the Jesmond area yuppie pubs and restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was as good as you could expect in a B&B. However, that is what it is a B&B, and for a no frills B&B it seems over-priced. more
