I have now used the East Byermoor Guest House on two occasions and have found the owners to be welcoming, friendly, informative, and yet not overbearing. They are ready to have a chat with you if you so desire but are also aware when you need your own space and time. The whole guest house is clean and great care... more
We stayed here for a week in October, on a much-needed holiday. The accommodation was first-class, with excellent breakfasts. Joe & Christine could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. It was a pleasure to stay here, and we hope to return next year. more

From the moment i got to East Byermoor i was made to feel very welcome. My room (Fellside) was large and very clean and had all the facilities needed. This was our second stay this year at East Byermoor, Christine and Joe are perfect hosts. The accommodation is exactly as decribed on the website and is ideally located for visting a number of tourist attractions in the north east. We received a friendly welcome and found our room to be a good size with pleasant views over the garden and surrounding countryside although the nearby road was nosier than we had expected. The en-suite with plenty of elbow room and a good shower was a definite plus point. A lovely garden and ample parking added to East Byermoors charms.... more

Having read the other reviews I am amazed that people rate this B&B so highly. It was because of this that we booked to stay here. All the reviews are spot on, so I won't say it all again. Everything was absolutely brilliant and Christine and Joe are wonderfully hospitable hosts.
