Great location and easy to find. Hotel was like a rabbit warren - I'm guessing it wasnt origenally built as a hotel. A welcome change from identikit hotel rooms. Only negative was the breakfast - avoid the sausages at all costs - I've never seen so much gristle before! more

A superb location, at the hub of Warwick and within walking distance of everywhere. Nice, historic building, and - after checking in and being instructed to follow a warren of narrow passages - arrived at a comfortable, clean family room (separate children's quarters), with a tidy bathroom, and instant hot water (contrary to the apologetic blurb in the hotel pamphlet).... more

Booked this venue for my Parent's Golden wedding celebrations. This also included booking 7 rooms for our guests and the complete restaurant on a Saturday night. Staff were helpful if not overly so, probably as well that I am a project manager as they were not hugely organised and needed some direction. However the restaurant was laid out as I... more

If you arrive by car, your first sight of the hotel is the rear - a horrid brick monstrosity. Inside, the place has a "too much nasty carpet to be old-fashioned, too little taste to be modern" feel about it. Rooms generally OK except all of the little things which don't work (shaving light, door handle to the bathroom). Beware... more

We stayed at the Lord Leycester for one night. I had read other reviews on Trip Advisor and didn't think it sounded too bad. The rooms were OK, and clean. The walls, however, are paper-thin and we received complaints about our children having the TV on (although it was not loud). The restaurant food was edible but we were not... more

Unfortunately although I understood the hotel was old, we had no cold water for the duration of the stay (2 nights), I also have gluten intolerance and the breakfast didn't cater in any capacity for me nor did it for anyone on any healthy eating plan as the cereals consisted of all of the sugary types and the full english... more

My family and I stayed at this hotel on Saturday 23rd Februaury 2008. Our party consisted of over twenty people of all ages. Everyone had a really good time, all the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. As it is an older hotel you have to expect the odd creaking floorboard or the hot water... more

Good central location for a wedding we went to in Warwick. Useful to have the big carpark out the back, which was free for hotel guests. Our room was fairly small and perhaps a bit dated, but comfortable enough. Small, slightly pokey, bathroom and the cold tap only gave hot water which was a bit annoying. Woke up early because... more

Booking through the hotel website was easy, and a family suite was selected to ensure we had more room. On arrival there is a large car park at the rear and an attractive entrance. However this is where the quality of the hotel ends. After the stairs the run down hotel shows its true colours with endless walls of woodchip,... more

We just had our wedding reception at the hotel. I can't begin to tell you how fantastic this hotel is. They looked after our guests and us so well, not only at the wedding reception but for our whole stay. The rooms are great. The food is fantastic. The service is first class. I can't reccommend this hotel enough. Location... more
