We found this hotel to be very overpriced for what you got - we paid £85 for 1 night. The double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together so wasn't overly comfortable. Perfectly acceptable hotel. We stayed for the one night as we went to the banquet at the castle. Our room was in the courtyard, the bathroom was getting a little mouldy, but nothing that would stop you going in. It wasn't flash, nothing spectacular, just comfortable and functional for our purposes. The hostess we encountered was very accomodating. more

Recently renovated small hotel which regularly wins awards for the range of real ales which it serves. Some bedrooms in the main building and others in a courtyard annex.
