I was very disappointed with our stay at the Aylesford Hotel. The bathrooms were old and shabby, in both rooms we stayed in.The hand basin was coming off the wall in both of the bathrooms and the door did not close, there was rust stains on the radiator and the soap dispenser in the shower had clearly not been refilled for a long time.
The kettle and complimentary tray was dirty and very uninviting.
Everything was old, stained and very dowdy.
On entering the hotel there was an old empty fish tank on the floor and the lock on the secure hotel door to the bedrooms was broken.
The hotel had seen better days and I really felt that it most certainly did not warrant any stars, let alone 3 !!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like this hotel to be regraded, and would like to know when the hotel inspector last made a visit ?!

Very disappointed with a recent Saturday night stay at a double room in this accommodation. The room was tiny with barely any room to move around the bed. There was a fire door separating the bedroom from the bathroom and wardrobe door. The firedoors are so stiff and difficult to open, it must prove very difficult for anyone with mobility problems. The rooms are accessed by steep flights of stairs and are again unsuitable for the less mobile.

The bedroom's kettle was missing and the light bulb had blown (which we discovered when returning at night). There was plaster coming off the walls and neither myself nor my husband were brave enough to use the shower facilities. The bathroom had screws showing on the doors and walls and was very very shabby indeed.
