Nice people, specialy Marilyn which prepares a very good english breakfast. I stayed in room number 4. A good room for 2 people with tv. Probably a larger dresser would be good. Wireless network. And that's it.

This was rather disappointing. The room was clean enough and the decor was fine but it was pretty small and cramped. Breakfast wasn't brilliant though I've had worse. In short it was ok but nothing special

Run by a retired couple, Gables Nest is clean and comfortable, and provides a fine breakfast. Bathroom in the family room is charmingly decorated. It's a pleasure to converse with Marilyn, the lady of the house. A few small negatives: parking is very tight in front of the house, and getting back onto the Coventry Road requires caution. Beds were,... More

Genuinely comfortable, pleasant and convenient little place. Spent £30 for my night here which included breakfast and that is a more than fair price. Lovely lady runs the place, charming building with everything you want from somewhere to stay away from home. My only regret is that my meeting extended to just the one day, such that I didn't have... More

My husband stayed here when he was attending a training course in Birmingham and was so impressed with the Landlady and Landlord he insisted that I tell everyone how lovely they are. The value for money was brilliant, everything was spotlessly clean, the food excellent. It only cost £30 a night here, which is just amazing.

Booked this hotel for a short stay in Birmingham (visiting a football match), its high recommendation and low price convinced me to stay here. It's a typical old English guesthouse, with just a few rooms and a caring hostess. Guesthouse is located near a road with a direct busline to the city centre. The breakfast was good. Only the bed... Great B & B, very friendly. Near main road so a little noisy but other than that, great.

My second stay with Mal was same as the first ... very good experience. The place is clean, Mal is very nice and friendly and her breakfast is splendid. The rooms are small (but that is quite normal in UK), but very nicely furnished and free WiFi available. Ideal location for NEC, Birmingham airport as well as town centre. Parking... More

Gables Nest is VERY clean, lovely welcome and only the one building. Staying at present and the owner is appalled by a misplaced review of another establishment posted yesterday.
