I stayed at Woodbrooke because I had an early conference in Brum the next day. It was nice to be there again, though I didn't get a chance to walk round the garden because it got dark so early. The new ensuites are nice, and the volunteers as friendly as ever. more

We booked Woodbroke having checked Tripadvisor and were not dissapointed. Woodbroke is set in a lovely garden/park, very beautiful, a real old English country house and garden with flowers and herbs/vegetables.Very tranquil and quiet with plenty of fresh air (this is needed in Brum). Close to Bournville village, nice area to explore and also close to Sainsbury's on the Bristol... more

I actually stayed here for about nine months, so I can promise that this wonderful place certainly wears well! Woodbrooke also has an extraordinary kitchen with an understanding staff. If you must work while here, Internet access is very easy to arrange. The library is a calm and comfortable place to work. If you want enjoyable conversation with people (sometimes... more

Woodbrooke was recommended to me and I wasn't sure what to expect. Found a wonderful, peaceful environment with clean, comfy and garden facing bedrooms. Food was delicious and chefs ensured my dietary needs were met. Icing on the cake were the surroundings, which comprise Birmingham's largest organically managed garden, with its lake and walled garden. Hard to believe it is... more

I've stayed here several times - just for a quiet break, or to extend my stay while taking part in a course or conference. This is a truly peaceful place - I'd recommend it to anyone who wants some peace and quiet. The gardens are beautiful and it's good to walk the labyrinth mown into the lawn near the lake. more

I attended a weekend course here in April , but have stayed several times before. I have always come away with feeling better than when I arrived!. Woodbrooke is so restful, so nourishing, so friendly, so beautiful (unbelievable when in the grounds that you are actually in a big industrial city). Meals are self-service and communal and the food is... more

Set in a beautiful landscaped garden, within just 1 mile walk of Cadbury World, Woodbrooke has to be one of the the most memorable places we have ever stayed. It is peaceful and relaxing with lots of space. We had a family break with our Daughter and two Grandchildren of 5 and 3. Cadbury World, Birmingham Nature Park and Drayton... more
