The last time we stayed, we were very happy with the hotel, but the service at breakfast was diabolical. It seems nothing has changed. Our room was of the usual basic but high standard, with everything being lovely and clean. We also booked a disabled room for our parents who are both 85, and the bathroom and wet area was... more

We stayed in a beautifully clean, newly refurbished room which had an incredibly comfortable bed. The location is great for the Jewellery Quarter and not far to walk to the city centre in a pretty much straight line. I can't actually think of anything bad to say about the room or the (admittedly minimal) contact we had with the staff. more

I booked this hotel as they had a sale on their website, five of us stayed in two family rooms for two nights for £77. The hotel is pretty typical of a Travelodge; our room was clean and had basic amenities. The location is fairly central, about a ten-minute walk to the shopping area. There is a nice Italian restaurant... more

I booked this hinking it was fairly central but its a good 15 minute walk to the New Street Station and the main shopping area. The area is up and coming and is a little on the deserted side after 8pm. I had major probalems trying to find a blackberry signal to help me with my GPS and felt a... more

Paid £9 for this room for one night... How could I go wrong? Was clean, and quite new - still smelt like new wood, with good service. Food wasnt great, but was edible and location was a bit hard to find initially, but once found its great! more

I could'nt fault this hotel. Service was perfect, staff friendly, room and shower room clean and tidy. Booking worked well and bargain prices even if i didnt get the cheapest deal for booking early. If you wanted more from a hotel then your just being fussy. more

Looks very new, clean, tidy. Would definately stay again. Cheap parking on the street outside but there are not many spaces. The NCP opposite charges about £12 a night. Only negative side is the rooms get very hot and you can't open the window far due to safety devices on the opening mechanism. more

I paid £29 for this room, non-refundable, so I wasn't expecting the world. Hotel has only recently opened so it is pretty good condition. Room was incredibly basic ( even an estate agent would struggle to describe this - minimalistic ?): bed, desk, plastic chair, TV on wall, shelf on wall with short hanging rail underneath with 6 hangers, no... more

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay whilst in Brum to see Al Murray at the NIA. The hotel had only just opened and was a little difficult to find as the location map on the travelodge website was a bit vague. There are two entrances to the hotel, neither of which are actually on Newhall Street, one is up... more
