I have to confess that I came across Elmdon Lodge purely by accident after a late requirement one day, but what a discovery... having stayed in various hotels and guest houses around the area finally I find utopia. I was greeted with a super warm welcome into a great big old house which was clean and well presented but with... More

My husband & I stopped here recently for 2 nights & were extremely well looked after. Breakfast was cooked fresh when we came down in the morning. It was nice, hot & plentiful & all served with a smile! The room was comfy, the bed, pillows & duvet were great - I slept like a dream....& that had nothing to... More

I spent one night here, for a short trip to an event at the NEC. We received a very warm and friendly welcome from Katherine, who immediately booked us a table at a local restaurant for dinner. The room was very clean and comfortable... nice fittings, fresh, new bedding and all you need for a night away from home. Breakfast... More

I have stayed at Elmdon Lodge again twice since my last review. I can honestly say its still a great place to stay. I had to travel further to work, but had no hesitation to book in at Elmdon Lodge. Katherine and Terry as always EXCELLENT hosts.

Quite possibly the most friendly & welcoming place to stay in Birmingham. If your coming to visit the area you will struggle to find anywhere better. If your moving to the area to study or to work then its an excellent base until you get to know the area and find a property to buy or rent.........trust me I've been... More

Nothing was too much trouble for Katherine and Terry - there were 3 of us there for business travelling to the NEC every day and the breakfast was arranged at a time to suit (and plenty of choice too). Evening meals were usually out and about (plenty of choice nearby, all recommended by Katherine) except for one evening when we... More

I was there with my friend Enrico from Italy. Were only a few days stay but I still remember with great pleasure the treatment reserved for us. I would have to spend a lot of words of Katherine and Terry and their great service but the only thing I'm suggesting is that if you want a room near Birmingham, look... More

We had a little trouble trying to book on-line, so used the old-time telephone method instead. And so glad we did. We could tell from Katherine's telephone manner that we would receive a warm and friendly welcome. We arrived quite late and were greeted by Terry who made us feel at home straight away. We only met Katherine in the... More

This is one of our best B&B we stay here when we exhibit at the NEC, such a friendly welcome greets us each time we arrive, conf-table beds, and such a tasty breakfast too, I cannot recommend it enough. Good Lounge to meet friend for a talk plus a cup of tea from Catherine.

A great stay, very good room, superb breakfasts, and wonderfully friendly and helpful hosts. Terry and Katherine do it very well. We had a fantastic time in this B&B. Lots of space to relax, we felt very welcome.
