We needed to stay at a hotel near Tyseley Loco Museum as we we were going on a very early steam train trip to Chester and were advised that this hotel, although quite cheap, was the nearest to the station. We didn't expect too much but were more than disappointed, I would say appalled, at what we found. The only... more

I stayed here whilst visiting relatives with my family. The kids were happy as the rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful and the free parking was also great! more

I stayed in the birmingham hotel with a large group of friends and really enjoyed my stay. It was comfortable, freindly and the free parking was great. Everything was worth the price and the whole group are planning a trip again during the year! more

Booked in for three nights, when we arrived in the first room there was no heating, so freezing cold, no bath only shower. Second room was a smokiing room which stank, heating worked but no hot water. By third room losing will to live very noisy, tv broken, checked yellow pages to book in to another hotel and all hotel... more

Ok its a cheap hotel so lets not expect the best... not far from the city centre. Located in a rough area. Service was pretty bad and you are treated with suspicion by the majority of desk staff. Only on checkout did a helpful cheerful face appear! Nearly everywhere stinks of smoke despite no smoking signs everywhere BUT the room... more

I did read the reviews before staying here and it wasn't as bad as I imagined. It was a busy time and it was hard to get in anywhere. The rooms do need some attention but generally it was clean and the breakfasts were satisfactory more

My wife was at a conference so I came to Birmingham to with her and we extended our time. We booked at the Birmingham Hotel, the price was really good and the free car park with Small Heath Station being two minutes away were top of the list. The reception was really helpful and if you get Daniel you have... more

The only advantage about this hotel is its location. Its only 10 minutes drive to the NEC. The decor was in the 70's, restaurant like a social club. Room was badly cleaned as we found various cotton wool buds laying about and the previous occupiers dodgy magazines next to a bag of peanuts. On the bright side the Mattress was... more

Booked this hotel on the day i needed to stay there, for £35 it was cheap and lots of free parking made it desirable. On arriving i realised you certainly get what you pay for. Very basic hotel and room. Staff were vague but helpful enough. The room was on the first floor but because of the way the hotel... more
