I will try to be balanced, on arrival we were 10 mins before the check in time of 15.00, and were told we would have to wait, no problem there. But within a couple of minutes another staff member was checking us in. So sort of good service. Like all travelodges, this building looks better outside than in, it's very... More

Stayed in this hotel 2 nights ago when in Birmingham on business. It was only booked the day before & cost £72 including breakfast.I have stayed in the holiday inn along the road for about the same price & that was far more superior in my opinion. I understand that you pay for what you get & if i had paid... More

I really enjoyed this travelodge, i was high up in the tower with a wonderful view and window, very cosy and comfy, also felt private and secure there. Even though it does feel a little bit like entering some futuristic prison when you check in and somewhat difficult to locate the front door, i got there in the end. It's... More

The hotel was £25 for a night and is very close to the M6 so for business was fine, the room was quite large and the desk and Wi-Fi were actually pretty good. Overall the hotel does look dated inside, with an ancient TV and no working remote control, but again for £25 a night this isn't really that bad.... More

Stayed for 1 night on a Saturday in January 2012. Was going to wedding in nearby Sutton Coldfield. Check in was fast and pleasant and we were given a room on the 1st floor. Room was clean and warm. Free tea and coffee and 1 bar of soap. The bed was large and VERY soft!! In fact too soft. With... More

I stayed in the hotel and was disappointed with the cleanliness so much so I emailed the chief executive Guy Parsons and got a reply with in a short time. My complaint was delt with in a very professional way by his team and was satisfied with the overall outcome. I will continue to use Travelodge however I will be... More

I stayed here on the 6th & 7th of January, on a spur of the moment weekend getaway with my girlfriend. We paid £50 for two nights, if maths isn't your strong point. That's £12.50 each per day. The entrance is difficult to find but you must park in the rear car park (within orange lines) walk over the little... More

Stayed due to a late working finish and an early start. Very hard to find the entrance to the hotel and complete lack of signs for parking. You have to use the car park for the shopping area adjoined to the hotel but this is not sign posted. Although not expecting too much for the money I did find the... More

Stayed there mid 2011 on a family break with 2 young kids. We had just spent a week in a Premier Inn in Bracknell which was basic but clean & was spending 2nd week at this Travelodge. Have found other Travelodges fine, basic but clean & you get what you pay for BUT this Travelodge was so dirty I hated... More

OK - its cheap - but not that cheap (65 GBP). It looks very grand from the outside and being new one would think it would be good. The bedroom wall had spillage stains down it and there was a hair in the bed which did not belong to me - disgusting. Avoid it like the plague. More
