I've just returned from this hotel. They are currently renovating it so there will be improvements.. The room was clean but shabby and tired. There was a crack in the sink and the bedhead was coming away from the bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very small parking area,but convenient location. Excellent hotel! After new management since New Year I was able to use the Wi'fi internet access. Room was exceptionalyl tidy with great service for morning breakfast. We also made full-use of the 24hr service of snacks. £65 however money well spent. more

I was early .. and while the room was still being cleaned was givend free coffee nicely served in the lounge area. Room was clean and with soap, shampoo etc... and the ensuite bathroom was great. My god... what a dump! Matress was damp; room was cold, no hot water, carpets stained... I'd much rather stay at the Bates Motel! We didn't stay, thankfully we inspected the room before payment was made. more

Our suspicions of this hotel were first aroused when we were asked for payment before we checked in, so we asked to inspect the room. We booked a one night stay for a family party which was taking place near to the hotel, and noticed before we left that the payment had been taken from the card in advance without prior agreement on this.
