We stayed at Coombe on the night after our wedding and it's truly an amazing hotel. First class characterful accommodation - truly superb. more

I stayed for one night midweek at the Commbe Abbey Hotel on a work trip and found it absolutely fab!... The building is amazing internally and externally and it was like being on a medieval adventure. For the price I was extremely impressed. The food was great (we had only bar food due to people arriving at different times) and... more

I stayed at they abbey with my partner on a work incentive,I loved the hotels real old Gothic feel, we had a stunning feature room in the new build block, which was designed and decorated in keeping with the main hotel, Our room was fantastic with a huge window seat full of cushions, the decor was very luxurious and details... more

Coombe Abbey is splendid in many ways; a beautiful moat, gardens, dining rooms and bedrooms. What really lets it down is the really poor staff. We were checked into the wrong room and had to bugger about in reception for ages (up and down in the lift 3 times) to sort it out. Restaurant service was by someone who had... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Coombe Abbey and also booked a room for his parents, in celebration of his mum's birthday, and Coombe Abbey did not disappoint. However, American travellers should not come expecting an "American" style hotel (which is my recommendation with most English hotels and European hotels in general). We had a Deluxe room which was nicely... more

I booked one of the feature rooms for my wedding anniversary. It was a very good special offer rate, otherwise staying there would be too expensive for us. We had a beautiful, very stylish room with 4 poster bed. Dinner was lovely - the only disappointment was no vegetarian main course in the menu - eventually waiteress offered me something... more

Clearly has a wonderful setting and if you could stay in the garden all the time it would be wonderful. However 3 things let it down badly for me. 1. I like real beer. All they had here was gassy lagers at astronomic prices. When you consider that there are some wonderful brews produced nearby this is dissapointing but perhaps... more

We first started using Coombe Abbey over 10 years but hadn't been there for some time. When a family gathering necessitated an overnight stay in the location it was top of the list. The hotel, in particular the bedrooms, have become terribly tired and could do with some love and attention. Stronger lightbulbs, some deep cleaning and repairs to furnishings... more

This was a leisure trip for me and my mum for her 60th. We were on a sunday package for £60 a room, with dinner for 33.50 that was 2 for 1. So already, excellent value! All service and cleanliness was excellent. NONE of the hotel i saw was tired or dated as others have stated!! Hotel reception was dark,... more
