We stayed for one Saturday night, with a last minute booking. The hotel - as other reviews have said - is looking tired, but it is not scruffy. We had Room 4. This is an enormous and solid room in the main house, just about above Reception. Felt more like a suite than a room. The decoration is not contemporary... more

I was a little worried after reading the reviews on this site. It has taken a right bashing. Ok..maybe not the best hotel but i would book there again when i want a cheap hotel. The entrance to the hotel is quite nice which hides the fact that you will find your room in an annex on the side. But... more

Had stayed with collegues in this hotel for a conference recently. The Conference Room we had booked was the Warwick . Tiny not enough space and shocking. At The Chace Hotel they call it a Conference room! I would call it a match box. Never again! Food was appaling and reception staff was shocking. Also the bedrooms were hot and... more

Me and my fiance wanted a relaxing break, until we got to the chace hotel. As soon a we got there we did not feel welcome, the female reception staff were rude and miserable. The room was shabby, old fashioned and dull. Looked like an old peoples room. The bed was so horrible. The curtains were dirty and brown, looked... more

The public areas of the hotel are in good condition, unfortunately the rooms are pretty tired. I last stayed here in 1991 and it hasn't had any refurb since then. That said, the room was clean enough. £45 for a double room is about right, I would prefer a Premier Inn and would stay here again only if no other... more

Not a great start - hotel phoned me up two months early to tell me I hadn't turned up and they'd have to charge my credit card. Then when we did turn up they had no knowledge of my booking! Room was really shabby, but was passable. We ate in the bar on the first night, and the food was... more

I have never stayed in such a terrible place. The room was dirty and stank of smoke! As for the food. When it arrived an hour later, the order was wrong and it was disgusting. The only thing that kept me sane was the company. I would rather stay in a tent than have to return to this place, how... more

I was staying in this hotel for a weekend and it's certainly not good value for money at all. There was a weeding that weekend about which we didn't know and the music very loud that we simply couldn't sleep. When i went to reception to complain the receptionist called Duty Manager who's name was Christo, he was very polite.Than after few... more

An old manor house ruined with a prefab accommodation block, which is somewhat reminiscent of a hospital ward. Faded, tired rooms are coupled with a grand but small dining room making an odd mix. In the dining room, the food is good though the menu lets down this one redeeming factor. It seems that “Today’s” menu remains the same for... more

Well where do I start with this?, what a disgrace the Corus Chace is. I along with colleagues ended up in this hotel because a number of hotels around Coventry were fully booked. The first thing to say is that this hotel is not in the greatest of areas and certainly looked dodgy from the start. Upon arrival the hotel... more
