Returned from the Landrover 4x4 Max event and had a lovely stay in the lodge. Staff very friendly and helpful. Menu bit small but very nice......I can recommend the salmon! Our room smelt of damp and was in need of refurbishment and the bathroom was fairly tatty. The food wasn't great and we had to wait an hour and a half to be served. The only thing to be said in its favour is that it's very convenient if you're going to an event at the Stoneleigh showground. More

Stayed for Traiblazers Riding Championships. Upstairs hallway and room on arrival was like walking into a sauna. Had shower and no fan in bathroom so made room even hotter. Great service and food, and you will get a good night's sleep unless there is a big event on at the showground, in which case the hotel, and the bar will be full. Well equiped rooms, although the TV is attached to the wall and doesn't swivel and rooms are looking a bit jaded. Not sure its worth £75 bed... More

The whole building - reception, restaurant, corridors and rooms - were very chilly as there did not appear to be any central heating radiators anywhere.
