Having read the reviews before travelling, I was not expecting much. How do people write such damaging reviews, which none of the group I was with would have agreed with. I remember how the Allesley used to be in the 70's when it was the hotel in Coventry, it has lost a lot of it sparkle, but it is still... more

Have to say that I was really disappointment during my stay especially with quality of service they provide. Employees were untrained and not very responsive. The worst is that management was bluntly and unprofessional obviously couldn't give any good example to the staff. The sheets smelled in the bed. They smelled as if someone with very bad body oder had... more

Our stay was for two nights on a half board basis.Upon arrival in a very pleasant comfortable reception area we were greeted by efficient helpful staff. The room allocated to us was on the third floor and reached by a maze of corridors and short flights of steps.Upon opening the door we found it to be quite spacious and adequate for... more

Stayed at the Allesley on Saturday night as part of a coach party doing a trip to the NEC, Arrived early afternoon and the first impression is the smell - musty and damp. The hotel reception area is lovely and large with lots of comfy looking sofas. The bar is upstairs as is the dining room and again large and... more

We were with firends and stayed there on November .We had 2 rooms (group of 4) and were on 2 seperate floors. One of the rooms had already been rejected by someone else. No screen on the window and was overlooking the roof. The rooms were nothing to write home about ,very dirty and dated, bathroom was like from 70' night... more

We stayed here for one night it being my husbands works party, the rooms needed some attention and housekeeping could have been better, not enough towels for two people. We got the room at a discounted rate so overall we were pleased with what we got. The meal on the Saturday evening was great nice and hot and plentiful. The buffet... more

The Allesley Hotel provides value for money which in this day and age cannot be a bad thing. My room was warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a served with a smile by a waitress who couldn't have been more helpful, in fact ALL of the staff were of the same disposition. Our 'Function' was well planned by the Events &... more

After seeing the reviews we nearly cancelled and came home for the night instead of staying! However, when we arrived the hotel was not as bad as the reviews state, the hotel DOES need redecoration and updating, the room we stayed in was small and clean which really for the £50 we paid for the night was perfectly acceptable. We... more

Nothing seems to work like before.I don't really know what happened with people there and why atmosphere in this Hotel has chaneged so dramatically.Everybody seem to... more

My partner booked this hotel for us.The hotel firstly seemed okay and the room reasonable. However, after we checked in, I notice that sheet wasn't change and I immediately went down to reception and reported my find. No apologies, and very little to say on the matter. We were given another room-(with brown curtains and ugly smell)but at least with clean... more
