We had a wonderful stay in Barnacle hall. We were picking up a dinghy and so needed somewhere with safe parking, but also needed to be near to the M6. Barnacle hall exceeded all our expectations. Rose is a very friendly, welcoming host and the house itself is full of period detail, right down to slightly sloping floors! The rooms... more

Wonderful old building, charming and very friendly host, comfy beds in a quiet location and a great breakfast as well. Plus a wonderful act of kindness in letting me have a late checkout so I could have a bath after the half marathon ! We'll be back more

What a fantastic house, beams, old wood doors etc. it's like stepping into another world. We were given a warm welcome although we arrived early. Rose, the owner, apologised that our room wasn't quite ready as she hadn't picked the fresh flowers from her garden yet! We had the twin room and Rose had put them together and we had... more

Barnacle Hall is a charming 15th century working sheep farm. Set in a beautiful garden surrounded by the farm fields, this is as close to perfect ion as you will find in a B&B. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Rose thinks of all the little things to make your stay perfect - right down to the... more

Had a wonderful stay here for one night. Arrived late in the evening but Rose was waiting with a friendly welcome. Large but immaculate house and room, wonderfully comfortable bed and linen, and a good breakfast in the morning. more

Barnacle Hall was like stepping into the past. Wonderful country house and the hosts were great. I was able to watch sheep grazing in the pastures through my bedroom window. My family of six stayed there for just one night, wish we had been able to stay longer. Enjoyed this B&B immensely! more

Have stayed about 4 times now at Barnacle Hall, from the 1st time to the 4th time the stay is always brilliant. Rose the owner is so friendly and always remembers me when I re-book. The room I stayed in called "Apple" was very large with a lovely en suite bathroom with a corner bath, what more could a girl... more

This place is just fabulous and one of the best places we've stayed in. The house and bedroom we had was amazing - all stone and exposed beams - it was a pleasure just to sit in bed and look at the room. The bedroom also provided views of pastures, complete with lambs frolicking. It's near some quaint villages, and... more
