Is Oscar making wild accusations?! After making a reservation at Landseer House and reading Oscar Wilde’s review too late to cancel, I was delighted to find on arrival the opinion given by Oscar Wilde seemed totally inaccurate. Lead to believe by Oscar I would be staying at a pseudo-Georgian house I was pleased that I immediately felt I was entering... more

Having read the reviews, it's true Landseer House is 'clean' and 'comfortable' but by no way, shape or form authentic. It's a new build, the 'antiques' are replicas and it's owners, although content to give you directions - I felt were put out by our presence. My husband and I stayed at Landseer House on our trip to attend the Goodwood Revival. We arrived later than expected and were met by Sarah and Geoffrey, who offered us tea and aquainted us with our self-catering cottage, just steps from the main house. Sarah and Geoffrey were most accommodating. The cottage was great for our stay during the Goodwood Revival. Give both Bella and Bertie a pat for us on your visit! more

I totaly agree with "HelenHenderson", this place HAS character... no ikea furniture in there for sure. We originally wanted to stay at the Goodwood Park Hotel but after reading the reviews and experiencing rude staff over the phone when booking, I changed my mind at the last minute (the day before) and booked 2 rooms at Landseer House. The House... more

We stayed for 3 days in this lovely property's self catering cottage. All we needed and more with local pubs and walks a few minutes away and the beach 10 minutes. Very friendly owners that supply on demand everything you need to have a delightful time. more

How wonderful to find somewhere that is not yet another bland makeover of brown leather settees and bare wooden floors claiming to be a "boutique hotel"! A pretty house from the minute you walk in, beautifully furnished with antiques and lovely paintings, yet still having a very welcoming atmosphere. We stayed in their enormous deluxe room which was beautiful. Fantastic... more
