Suffolk house hotel is one of the best hotel i chichester. My wife and myself stayed in the hoel 5 times a year. We always get welcoming greeting from the resceptio, beatiful service from the cheerful staffs, nice clean sportless room. Room has old deco but very clean. We always have a great brackfast. Service and cleanlinees improve lot since... more

No evidence of 'New Management' . Dismal decor - Nursing Home feel. Carpet in bedroom not hoovered. Broken radiator control (radiator too hot to touch and no means of turning it off), also broken curtain pole (curtains couldn't be closed), Bottom window sash impossible to open, top of window permanently open - by about 2 feet . Headboard fell off... more

We approached with trepidation reading some of the previous reviews likening this hotel to Fawlty Towers. However, the Hotel has new management that had only been there for a few weeks when we visited. The rooms are fresh, very clean and , for the price, very roomy. The staff are extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The facilities are basic but... more

Booked Suffolk House last weekend. We always stay here when in Chichester. Large room, excellent breakfast, attentive staff, nothing seems to change; this really is a home from home as far as we are concerned. Very close to theatre, unique cinema, parks and of course shops and cathedral. We will be back next month! more

We found the Suffolk House Hotel good value for money. The accommodation isn't posh, but perfectly adequate and clean, and the breakfasts were good. The owner was helpful, and not at all surly (as various other reviews have suggested). The location is brilliant, being so close to the city centre. If you want a lot of luxury it's not the... more

We stayed here for one night. We got a special out of season rate. The hotel looks as though it needs updating but didn't have that old musty smell. I was surprised how clean it was. The bed was very comfortable and the room was huge! I was pleased by the inclusion of a bottled water in the room in... more

I am about to book to stay again, in spite of some of my experiences last time! The reason? - it's different, and pretty reasonably priced given it's location. I had to move rooms three times before we got it right - first time I was put in an already occupied room, second, the hot water didn't come through, third... more

Cannot believe the owner of this hotel is still in business. Diabolical customer service. The hotel has a vague charm and granted the toilet is clean, but really, when do we get so desperate as to accept this as any kind of 'quality' - that's the least you should expect. The location is great. But if you ask the owner... more

Suffolk House was literally the only accommodation available when I booked my 3-night stay in late June. Chichester was full to the brim because of a big race nearby. So I was apprehensive: why were all other hotels and inns booked, but not Suffolk House? I was very pleasantly surprised. I had a single room, which was tiny, but the... more

I called up to query the price of a room my husband booked, The receptionist was extreamly rude and condescending. Due to this treatment I asked if he could cancel our room and he terminated our call. more
