Charming and very helpful staff from the time we arrived. Rooms excellent - good hot water. Imaginative menu which persuaded us to eat in and had an excellent meal. Wine list good - we travel a great deal and are not uncritical, but this time no criticism is necessary ! It was superb value for the price charged. more

We went to Chichester to relax and to find a pub where we could enjoy the rugby.  When we arrived at the George and Dragon we were helped in with our luggage and given a warm welcome.  Our room was pleasant, the bedding was white and had been ironed, everything looked clean and fresh.  The shower room was a bit... more

This place does excatly what a Bed and Breakfast should do.... the rooms were lovely, best nights sleep i have had in ages, and they have a really nice modern feel, i loved the way the rooms were located in a converted barn overlooking a really nice decked beer-garden area, this ment the rooms were really quite. The showers had... more

Stayed in the hotel for one night. For £75 a night, one would expect something much better. The shower was very very black and smelly and mouldy. There was not even a hook on the door to hang a wet towel after showering. No hairdryer and no phone to call reception. 4 TV channels. Not even Freeview. Surly staff. Food... more

Food was mediocre (got one of our orders wrong twice) and menu attempts to pander to pretentious foodies without delivering the goods. Staff were unwelcoming and rude. Won't be back!!!!! more

Stylishly modernised pub in Chichester. Nice conservatory/dining area, slipshod pub service. Food about what you would expect from from a pub (except this one appears to have "foodie" pretensions). Nothing much to criticise, apart from Eastern European waitress service. No compelling reason not to eat eat here, no compelling reason to forego a meal elsewhere more

My wife and I spent the weekend visiting Chichester whilst attending our friend wedding. We stayed at the George and Dragon and were instantly made to feel welcome. The staff were charming, helpful, accommodating, and the food was lovely. I can recommend to anyone who is considering staying at the George and Dragon. Thank you! James from Manchester more

Found the pub very welcoming and friendly. The food was excellant and the atmosphere was great. The accomodation was very warm and cosy and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this pub for lunch, dinner, a night out or a place to stay. It is in the town to. more
