Arriving at this hotel at 4pm we were told the room was not ready!!! Coming back 45 mins later we were shown a dark room with sheets so thin you could see the mattress and pillows badly stained. Asking to cancel the room and to get a refund we were told that it was not their decision but it was... More

We only went in for a drink, so cannot comment on the accommodation or meals. The interior is large and roomy but fairly basic – not cosy, but with the look of a local patronised by more proletariat customers. For example, some of the language used by a few at the bar would probably curdle the beer at the Bull’s... More

we popped into the woolpack inn for a drink, I wish I never went, got stared at as soon as we walked in as if were aliens. Not sure who is who, no greeting. Very unwelcoming. The least anyone does who runs an establishment is to say hello, I thought there was a recession on and every little helps. I... More

Plus side, great pub, friendly staff, great location which was right next to where we needed to be. Breakfast was good, cereal, juice, toast and english breakfast. Down side, rooms that smelt of shake and vac with paper thin walls , I could hear the conversation of the man in the room next door word for word, even though he... More

Usual buisness overnight .Not the most welcoming bar (the solar panel installers staying there gave the feeling of American werewolf in London )The room was clean but needed decorating and I have never stayed or been to a pub where there is a farm shop in the bar.The food was ok no more than that .Certainly would not recommend it... I booked this hotel for £75. When the manager realised it was Goodwood weekend, he told me I could have the room but for £200!!!!! Terrible attitude, terrible customer service, greedy, greedy, greedy. Don't touch them!

Smell of drains and sewage in room. Mould in bathroom. Tiny towels in poor condition. Terribly noisy bed. No PAT testing on electrical items. No fire safety signage in rooms. No hotel information so I had no idea when breakfast was. Signs everywhere for a farm shop inside the main pub building but no sausages at breakfast. No smiles from... More

Not impressed by being asked to pay upfront, specially since my husband already paid for me. Welcome non-existent but the Barmaid was friendly and the chef as well, oh and the Breakfast Lady. The room and bathroom was clean if only a few dust specks here and there, but we are not picky. Totally disappointed as we couldn't get the... More

We booked for 2 nights but only stayed one. Couldn't wait to get out. Off hand cool welcome, not impressed by being asked to pay up front before seeing the room. Very basic room, dreadful noisy mattress, bedding and towels I wouldn't use at home. Thin walls, disturbed by other occupants coming in late. Mould on the tiles in the... More
