I stayed at the whitcliffe on business, it was booked at the last minute and as a woman travelling on her own it is not of place I usually stay preferring to stick to the well known chains, however the Whitcliffe was great especially at under £50 per night. Cleckheaton at night looks like it might be in a battle zone with all the shops having roll-down shutters. The Whitcliffe Hotel is located down a pot-holed track, behind an old industrial mill. A short walk across a supermarket car park means the town centre can be accessed in 5 minutes. My first impressions of the hotel were not good.... more
