I decided to book myself and 4 other work colleagues into this hotel despite reading the many mixed reviews. On booking my main concern was location and as it overlooks the International Cricket Stadium we did not have far to walk to our conference. The hotel had such a lovely wam feel, the gentleman on reception very professional and informative.... more

The Butlers Hotel, Leeds, England From the website, I assumed that we were booking into a small family (-run) hotel which would suit our purposes to be in that particular area of Leeds. Little did we know what awaited us! We arrived in the early evening, parked the car behind the hotel and entered by the front door. In the... more

Only up in Leeds for one night but would have happily stayed here longer. Staff very friendly and professional, always asking for feedback on facilities and services. Used by contractors who value a solid night's sleep and a good breakfast so no disturbances. They even stocked two types of real ale at the bar! more

The website and reality are quite different. We never saw any of the staff shown in the website. It seemed that one lady was running 2 receptions at the same time - one in the Boundary Hotel and one in the Butlers hotel. You could literally walk through from one hotel to the next. The decor was very tired indeed.... more

Lovely themed decor I have never stayed in a hotel or seen one like this. We stayed in the stars room which was quite a large hotel room with pictures of famous people on the walls. We were greeted by a pleasant young lady who quickly checked us in it would of been nice for someone to help us with... more

See my review for The Boundary Hotel. These two hotels have been knocked into one and the only remotely good aspect is the Breakfast. I had to complain about the stench of dope coming from the next door (non smoking!!!) room. The manager "had a word" with the spaced out guest and sprayed some revolting air freshener around the place.... more

After looking at the website,we thought this would be the perfect hotel for a much needed short break.I don't know when the website was created, or where they got the beautifully attired staff in the photograph, but we didn't see anyone remotely resembling them during our two night stay. When we arrived we were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist,... more

We got a deal off laterooms (I think). The deal included dinner, which is something we wouldn't normally consider but we had been travelling all day. The hotel comprises two buildings - large late victorian villas. The one on the left has a different name. The hotel has the atmosphere of a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel, but... more

My Company booked my room within this hotel and reading the reviews on this page I was worried when I arrived. Imagine my surprise when I was taken, as already prewarned by steep steps, to a clean, well furnished and intersting room. Interesting as it gave information on a number of umpires. The following morning I was greeted by friendly... more
