We stayed here for one night and it was a great getaway. The Old Rectory has been refurbished to a very good and modern standard whilst retaining a lot of the original features. Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed, TV and en suite. Colin and Lynda were great hosts and the food was superb. They made us... More

I stayed here for 2 nights as I was in the area for a business trip. My room was absolutely lovely and I couldn't have been made more welcome. Lynda was my host as Colin was away and she was really helpful with directions and ideas for squeezing in a quick bit of evening sight seeing. She was sensitive to my... More

We stayed at The Old Rectory for 1 night after staying at centre parcs for the week before our visit to the safari park the next day. Lynda & Colin made us feel extremely welcome including our 2 yr old daughter who wanted to explore! They recommended a lovely pub in the nearby village of Hindon, The Angel where we... More

Visited this lovely retreat at very short notice end September, made to feel very, very welcome indeed. Linda and Colin are super hosts and the rooms are absolutely stunning! Nothing was too much trouble for them even though they are busy refurbishing parts of the Old Rectory. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing, pampered break in the lovely... More

I stayed at the Old Rectory in September for a night and had a fantastic stay. Linda and Colin were excellent hosts and Linda even cooked me a special vegan breakfast in the morning! The room was beautiful (I had the blue room) and it had a lovely giant bath as well. It's in a nice quiet location so good... More

This was a wonderfully central location to go to so many nearby attractions. The French Room was perfectly sized and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed getting dropped off by Collin for dinner in Hindon with a brisk walk back (torch provided) and Lynda provided a delicious full English breakfast every morning that can't be beat. They have done a wonderful job... More

Recently stayed at The Old Rectory and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Colin and Linda could not have been more welcoming, helpful and hospitable. The rooms were lovely and breakfast was delicious. We stayed for a friend's wedding and could not have felt more at home, but The Old Rectory is ideally placed in beautiful countryside - very close to Stone... More
